Making eAllianceMaker Work for You
Mark B. had always considered himself to be an entrepreneur, but had never managed to do anything that was completely his idea. His business experience had mostly been gained by following whatever the latest "affiliate marketing" promotion was until it disappeared. Then he would jump on something else. That was the entire pattern of Mark's entrepreneurial history.

Mark was told to make a list of business skills that he had been told by employers, friends or associates that he had and was rather good at performing. Also to list out topics in which he had above average interest and knowledge. Then list out those areas where he has made the most money whether working for someone else or on his own.

And finally Mark was told to go back over his lists and circle those items that he enjoyed doing the most. That was his homework.

After the dust settled over Mark's homework, he realized that he could sum up what he had learned by saying that he was very good at detail work and was enthused mostly about his hobby that dealt with antique and rare clocks. After thinking about this, he realized that he was someone who would greatly enjoy locating, collecting and owning rare clocks.

Over the next several weeks, Mark designed a work plan that would allow him to develop an entrepreneurial activity specially designed for what made him happy. He was quick to realize that there were still certain elements of his plan that would require him to do a few of his "not so favorite" activities. He did not consider himself good at clock repair, so he was concerned that he would have to reject all clocks that he could not repair himself and he was not sure what he would do when he discovered a truly rare clock that did not still function.

The consultant explained to him that because he had done his homework so well, the answers to most of his concerns could be addressed directly via his ealliance. So, for Mark, the solutions he wanted were not overly difficult after all.

At the urging of the consultant, Mark decided to create an ealliance composed of clock repairers, some clock collectors and individuals who wanted to have or were currently operating finder services.

Why Should You Build An Ealliance?

The idea is for you to first determine what kind of support or assistance that would be most helpful to you in your business activity. Let me provide you with some examples to help you understand. Any business will benefit from attaching an ealliance to itself, but there is a certain technique involved that would make this process the most effective.

Let's assume that you have a business that specializes in rare antique clocks. Your clientele is drawn to you because you are able to provide them with a wide selection of items and are building a reputation of being able to track down unique items.

As with all ealliance designs, the first step is to understand what your business actually needs to become more successful.
